Good morning/afternoon/night! I feel like I haven't been on my blog in forever.. but that's what happens when you do a low/no-buy for a while! I have some exciting new makeup from Femme Fatale and body butters from Black Violet, but that is for another day.
Onto the wonderful subscription known as Innocent & Twisted Alchemy!
This month's theme was woodlands, and she included a color drawing which is pretty impressive. Now onto the samples/theme!
From top to bottom, we have
Chains of Reality, a wooden matte brown,
Slumber in Peace, a mossy matte green, and
Souls Entwined, a subtle deep aubergine. I am going to apologize now for my swatches. I got a new phone, and it takes horrific photos so I will be probably be using a higher-end camera next time. My favorite of these three is
Slumber in Peace, which is against my normal colors of browns and reds. Not to be out-mentioned, but
Chains of Reality is gorgeous as well. It is going to be in my horse show makeup for sure!
Next is the samples! From top to bottom, Beauty Bar Baby's Opulent Opaque Lipstick in
Island of the Fay, Scaredy Cat in
Nlflheim, and AFK Cosmetics in
Mikasa. Now, I already own
Mikasa and I love it, so I added the sample to my full-sized jar! Now, my favorite color out of anything I have ever seen in this subscription may just be
Nlflheim. It is a near-periwinkle blue that has a sheer shimmer. I am so happy I now own this color, because WOW.
Island of the Fay is a hot pink that I am slightly afraid of, but I will need to see how it looks on my lips at a later time. Finally, but not shown, is a sample of Snow White from Midsummer Dreams Apocatherapy. From their website, it notes that this has notes of vanilla, apple, Ylang Ylang, balsam, cedar, rosewood, pear, Bergamont, and fig. In the bottle, it is super strong, but on my skin the apple and pear shine through, making it a fresh fruity scent.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with this month's subscription! Unfortunately, Linda works during the holiday and has stated that there will be a hiatus for the subscription for November and December. Although this is sad (especially since I want more of her awesome woodland colors), she is sending out emails to all subscribers and will put my subscription on hold which I greatly appreciate!
